Configuring my Archlinux installation. Installed postfix, dovecot and roundcube. Now trying to configure all of them to work in harmony. Damn those socks and ports!
Turns out Dovecot causes the most nuisance. No, that’s not the right word. Dovecot is good, but a pain to configure... especially when you have no clue whatsoever how IMAP and SMTP works. Too much options.
Stuck on IMAP configuration. I can send mail, but not receive it. Hmm...
I decided to stop all this nonsense and postpone the issue + 24 hrs. Oh yes, I forgot to create the DNS entries (MX + mail.domain.tld)! Well, that’s part of the issue...
