I began working at Burger King. You heard me right, and I’m ashamed to admit this, but I couldn’t find any other openings, and the ones that were available required more flexible working hours, which I absolutely cannot provide, as I’m studying at college. Better begin practising BK’s smile.
Today was my first day, and I was completing the computerised induction process (designed with imbeciles in mind), which took about three hours to complete, with the slow flash animations and very detailed videos. However, the first thing I noticed as I walked into the backroom was the vomit-inducing stench of the sanitising equipment. Throughout the whole process, it never went away. I hope I’ll get used to it; I wanted to throw up at least five times... I still do.
I want this job to teach me how to talk to the customer.
