Went to Framlingham. Located somewhere in Suffolk, it’s an antediluvian village, branching out from a big Anglo-Saxon castle in ruins. The village has managed to retain the old-fashioned look and feel to such a frightening degree, that I began to feel if I will ever get access to the Internet ever again. That’s how sad I am.
The smell of bonfire, the old, crooked buildings, just like in Lavenham, they all work to build a tremendous, ancient atmosphere around you, and when you finally walk into the castle, you’re a peasant of the time.
I’ve bothered to take some photographs of the place, and you can view them over on nick.camera
