My First Internship

I’ve been sending emails to that famous Russian design studio — yeah, you know the one I’m talking about — for about the past year, and all I’ve received in return was one brief reply (with a spelling mistake), stating that my portfolio was below a level required for an internship. That was in August.

It’s nearing the end of October. I am bound in uni work, and on top of that I decided to take on another REAL job project. Ah, I’m so tired, so much work left hanging in despair, just let me put everything aside for a moment and binge-watch another episode of that TV show that makes me puke in disgust and laugh at the same time!

It’s a text message. It’s from that Russian design studio. They’ve been scouring through their emails and spotted my portfolio. They’re interested in me. They want to arrange a Skype interview. That was last week. The interview took place today. I think it went well. More so than usual.

God, I’m shivering and giggling all over when I think about it. It’s a summer internship, because that’s the only time I can travel to Moscow. Summer’s a long way away, and for once I have something to look forward to. It’s so exciting!
